  • Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has started the country’s first analog space mission at Leh in Ladakh. The move assumes significance as India is planning to send a human to the Moon in the near future.
  • The National Achievement Survey (NAS), a nationwide survey meant to assess student’s learning progress, will be held on December 4, 2024, under a new name – PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024.
  • ICMR announces ‘First in the World Challenge’ to encourage scientists to find innovative ideas to tackle health issues. It aims to encourage breakthrough ideas in biomedical research that have never been attempted globally.
  • The IMF’s recently released AI Preparedness Index 2023, India leads the way with the highest percentage of users, as 45% of respondents reported using ChatGPT. However, the IMF notes that India, an emerging market economy, with an AI Preparedness Index rating of 0.49, ranks 72 in a total of 174 countries.
