- Coal India Ltd. Acquired a graphite block, its first critical mineral asset, in Madhya Pradesh.
- Food and Agriculture Organisation published “State of the World’s Forests 2024” Report. Theme for this year’s report is “Accelerating forest solutions through innovation” and it highlighted a decline in deforestation rates to 10.2 million hectares per year in 2015-2020 from 15. 8 million hectare in 1999-2000.
- Agharkar Research Institute (ARI) has discovered a new strain of gram positive, non motile, lactic acid bacteria during the study of S. Thermophilus.
- Jharkhand Government recently launched ‘Mukhya Mantri Bahan Beti Maiqui Swavlamban Protsahan Yojana’ which aims to provide ₹1000 per month to women in the age group of 21-49.
- Charaideo Maidam, becomes North East India’s first world heritage site in the cultural categoy. It’s India’s 43rd heritage site.
- Indian Navy and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) collaborated to introduce a Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus on trial basis under the Government of India’s green initiative and National Green Hydrogen Mission.
- NITI Ayog signed a joint Letter of Intent with World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) to develop programs for countries situated in global south.
