- India’s Maritime Decarbonisation Conference was held in New Delhi. It aims to align India’s maritime sector with global climate goals, discussing initiatives like the Harit Sagar Green Port Guidelines and the goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2070.
- Government of India recently launched a scheme The PM internship Scheme to increase the employbility of Indian youth by giving them hands on practical experience in business environments. It aims to cover 1 crore youth in the top 500 companies within 5 years. Ministry of Corporate Affairs will oversee the project via an online portal.
- Recently, Union Cabinet approved rationalization a centrally sponsored schemes in agriculture sector into two main umbrella schemes: Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY) and Krishonnati Yojana (KY).
- Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin, became the first woman to serve as Director General, Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS).
- Union Cabinet of India recently approved Classical Languages status for 5 new languages, Marathi, Bengali, Prakrit, Assamese, Pali totalling the number of Classical Languages to 11. Other recognised Classical Languages are Tamil (2004), Sanskrit(2005), Telugu(2008), Kannada (2008), Malyalam(2013), Odia(2014).
